Richard M. Cleland is a Doctor of Chiropractic who owns and operates Synergy Chiropractic and Sports Therapy which is located downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. By utilizing both eastern and western paradigms, Dr. Cleland advocates that personal wellness can only be achieved through the harmony of the mind, body, and spirit.

His vision is to serve the community and profession at large from a holistic perspective, integrating chiropractic, neuromuscular therapy, cranial work, and personal goal-setting to create a customized program for each patient. While assisting patients in attaining their personal health goals, he draws from a wide range of athletic, travel, and educational experiences. Dr. Cleland prioritizes individual and personalized care that examines the root causes of many common ailments. Each session provides adequate time for relaxation and discussion, and Dr. Cleland always provides a thorough explanation of his assessments. Treatments are tailored to the specific profession, lifestyle, abilities, and objectives of each patient.

Dr. Cleland is proficient in numerous chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Motion Palpation and Network Spinal Analysis. In addition, he has studied acupuncture, Craniosacral, Cranial Adjusting and various myofascial release techniques, as well as active, soft tissue rehabilitation. Following graduation, Dr. Cleland obtained formal training from the Trigenics Institute of Myoneural Medicine as an R.T.P. (Registered Trigenics Practitioner) and is currently a level 2 C.P.T.I (Certified Primary Trigenics Instructor). Dr. Cleland is proud to be a Fellow of the Trigenics Institute of Myoneural Medicine (FTIMM). Dr. Cleland boasts an impressive career treating various athletes on national and international levels ranging from university national championships to international games such as the 20th Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy.
